Scott Yardley - Florida State House - District 95 On September 17, 1787, the Constitution of the United States of America became law of our America. Excluding the bible, I would say it was one of the most God inspired document ever created. It established a government "Of the people, by the people and for the people".  The words "We The People," placed the supreme power of government in the hands of the voter and not the politician. Our Constitution is the greatest document ever written for a government of free and thinking people. Its authors have been described as men touched by divine intervention. Our founding fathers were highly educated and seem to have far more intelligence than the politicians of this generation. Our founding fathers also believed in God, the Bible and they lived by faith. While the Constitution is not a Christian document, it was written by Christians. That is why every concept found in the Constitution can also be found in the Bible. "Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." ~ John Adams America was founded by righteous men with Christian principals.  These Christian principals are imbedded in the constitution and are directly responsible for the greatness of America. Unfortunately America seems to be turning away from God and then wonders why our freedoms and liberties are slipping away. It it possible that America has become a nation of the ungodly who only elect politicians who will satisfy their own selfish desires? Some people believe that it is too late for America to return to the nation that she ones was. However God stands ready to restore our nation by promising the following: "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and forgive their sin, and heal their nation." II Chronicles 7:14 Several times I've heard people say "the only two subjects that I will not talk about is politics and religion." While on the surface that may sound vogue or even funny it is exactly what many politicians want. As long as we remain ignorant they will continue take away our money, freedoms and our lives. I must warn you America ... evil is not passive! Which is why they have been gaining ground on the moral majority. This website was created for anyone who is not afraid to talk politics or religion, and has the same belief in America. Is it a democracy or is it a republic? What are the responsibilities and limitations of our government? What part should the government play as it relates to our political system, our economic system, and social system? Some say we need more government and some say less. People do have a wide range of opinions on the above questions. However, most will agree that America is not the nation she once was.
